Collaboration with Fiona Matthews and Basem Tash. This studio work explores identity, displacement, and nationality. Coming from mixed backgrounds my studio mates decided to look into Ana Mendieta’s work about displacement and integration of art through built environments. Grabbing our everyday items and putting them together on a hanger to symbolize our feeling of displacement and not feeling like we can identify with our surrounding context.
